Welcome to the Citizens Police Academy Page
What is a Citizens Police Academy?
The Citizens' Police Academy is an exciting and educational program designed to teach the public about what it is that police officers really do. The CPA allows people to learn more about the career from those involved. While participants will not become experts, they will learn about the many different aspects of the job.
By allowing the public to learn about the operations of the police department, we hope that we will continue to build strong relationships with the public and combine our efforts to improve the quality of life in Granville.
Many people form their images of law enforcement from entertainment and news media, which only portray a small (and sometimes unrealistic) portion of the job. Graduates of the Granville Police Department's Citizens' Police Academy have formed a strong working relationship with the Granville Police Department. CPA graduates are welcome to attend any class. _______________________________________________________ ________________________________ Granville Citizens Police Academy Class # 3 will begin on January 7, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at the Granville Police Department.
